Paying For Your AFS Experience
Living abroad in a different culture is, as the ad campaign says, "Priceless". Unfortunately, it does cost money. Many of the program fees for the year programs are around $10,000. To help AFS participants, each year the national AFS/USA organization provides more than $1.5 million dollars in financial aid. Over 30% of AFS participants receive some amount of financial assistance from AFS/USA. For more information about financial assistance from the national organization please click here or visit the www.AFS.org website.
Scholarship money is also available from the Metro Little Rock AFS chapter and the AFS Arkansas Team - which is in charge of all the local AFS chapters around the state. For the past several years the Arkansas Area Team has awarded a full scholarship to an Arkansas student who has applied to go abroad with AFS. To learn more about how to apply for this scholarship please send an email to Info@MetroLittleRockAFS.org
